Harry Potter: 10 Most Hated Characters Who Aren’t Villains
8. Auntie Muriel
Almost all of the Weasleys are kind, noble, funny, and talented. They’re the sort of family everyone wants to be friends with. Auntie Muriel, on the other hand, is a bit of an exception.
Though we hear about Auntie Muriel several times throughout the series, her only physical appearance is at Bill and Fleur’s wedding during the opening stages of The Deathly Hallows. Despite being over one-hundred-years old, she’s still got her wits about her.
Indeed, she loves a spat of gossip. Having recently read Rita Skeeter’s biography of Dumbledore, Muriel delights at telling the other wedding guests about the darkest, most unpleasant aspects of the late wizard’s life. She relishes the atmosphere she creates and doesn’t care about upsetting Elphias Doge – Dumbledore’s oldest friend.
Auntie Muriel is the only Weasley who doesn’t act like a Weasley (aside from Percy). She’s mean-spirited, rude, and loves to be under the spotlight.
