Harry Potter: 10 Most Hated Characters

Ever since the first chapter of the first book, as baby Dudley flings cereal against the wall, he has been a pain. The archetypal spoiled brat, Dudley does everything he can to make Harry's home life a living hell. It's no surprise that Harry would rather put his life in danger, fighting the forces of evil, than spend time at Privet Drive.

Dudley's cowardice and malice come to a head in The Order of the Phoenix. After forming a gang of thugs who bully little kids, he thinks it'll be a great idea to go after Harry. This is, of course, under the assumption that Harry won't use his magic outside school.

When the Dementors make an appearance, however, readers are bound to feel a moment of catharsis. The same sort of catharsis you feel during the Purple Wedding in Game of Thrones. Come to think of it, Dudley and Joffrey have a lot in common.
