Harry Potter: 10 Most Powerful Gryffindor Students Ranked

The Harry Potter movies, as with any book to big screen adaptation, missed the mark on several big elements from the source material. One of the biggest grievances fans of the books have with the movies is the portrayal of the youngest Weasley, Ginny.

She may have been a stronger character when written on the page, however that isn't to say she was weak on the screen. She still had some incredible moments, and proved herself not only as a great witch, but as a worthy Gryffindor.

When the Hogwarts students were forced to come together in the absence of a real Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, Ginny was one of the most integral members of Dumbledore's Army. She was a leader, and she showed everyone, including her older brothers, how to properly use the Reducto and Patronum charms.

The bravery for which she was selected for Gryffindor was on show when she fought in the Department of Mysteries, and when the Burrow was attacked, she didn't hesitate for even a second in running through the circle of fire. On top of everything, as even more proof of her skill and potential as a witch, she was asked to join the incredibly exclusive Slug Club.
