Harry Potter: 10 Worst Characters Introduced After The Philosopher's Stone
5. Colin Creevey
Colin Creevey was a notable ally of Harry's and a well-known student at Hogwarts. His love of photography saved his life in his first year, when he saw the Basilisk through his camera instead of eye-to-eye.
In the books, Colin remained friends with Harry, even though Harry was reluctant to hang out with him. Colin went on to join Dumbledore's Army, where he learned to fight and impressed Harry with his rapid progress. Despite not turning up to the battle of the Astronomy Tower in Half-Blood Prince, Colin returned to school and fought in the Battle of Hogwarts, where he tragically met his demise.
Colin was someone we'd expect to see a lot more in the films, but after being a main character in Chamber of Secrets he disappears from the films, only to be replaced by Nigel who steps in to represent both Colin, and Colin's younger brother, Dennis.
