Harry Potter: 10 Worst Characters Introduced After The Philosopher's Stone
3. Fleur Delacour
Fleur Delacour is the French champion in the Tri-Wizard Tournament. She attended Beauxbatons Academy of Magic in France. She came to Hogwarts and participated in the Tournament alongside Harry Potter, Cedric Diggory and Viktor Krum.
During the tasks, Fleur became fond of Harry after he rescued her sister in the Second Task she she had been forced to quit the challenge early. After the Tournament, Fleur managed to get a job at Gringott's where she met and began dating Bill Weasley. In the books, she lived at The Burrow for a time, much to the initial annoyance of Ginny, Molly and Hermione. Fleur's attitude was mistaken as rude and critical, which earned her the nickname Phlegm.
This clash of characters led to some lovely development as the women, who were probably secretly jealous of Fleur, eventually warmed to her when she proved her love for Bill. During the attack on the astronomy tower, Bill is badly injured and disfigured after being attacked by Fenrir Greyback. Fleur insists that she still loves him, and the two go on to get married and become firm allies through the rest of the Second Wizarding War.
It was sad to see Fleur's part in The Half-Blood Prince film cut, and her return reduced to mostly floating around in the background.
