Harry Potter: 10 Worst Things Dolores Umbridge Has Ever Done

Due to Umbridge’s terrible teaching methods, Harry, Ron, Hermione, and a bunch of other students form a teenage gang called Dumbledore’s Army (also known as the DA), and together, they practice defensive magic in the Room of Requirement.

But it’s a risky operation. If Umbridge catches the group, they’re in deep trouble, and towards the end of the year, the inevitable happens. In the movie, the discovery of the DA is slightly different to Rowling’s original, yet in both cases, Harry is taken up to Dumbledore’s office for questioning.

Umbridge and Fudge would like nothing more than to expel Harry. But Dumbledore has other ideas. He takes all the responsibility for the DA (even though he had nothing to do with it) and is forced to flee the school to avoid being sent to Azkaban.

So, in a single night, not only does Umbridge quash the DA, but she also forces the greatest Hogwarts headmaster of all time to flee the school. With Dumbledore gone, Umbridge becomes the new Head of Hogwarts and continues to purge the castle.
