Harry Potter: 10 Worst Things Hermione Has Ever Done
6. Attacked Ron With A Flock Of Birds
The Half-Blood Prince is full of adolescent romance, and after a spectacular performance in Gryffindor’s first Quidditch match, Ron hooks up with Lavender Brown during the post-match celebrations.
Riddled with rage and jealousy, Hermione rushes out of the Gryffindor Common Room and has a minor breakdown in a quiet corner of the castle. Harry does his best to comfort her, but they’re soon interrupted by Ron and Lavender.
This awkward situation soon turns savage when Hermione conjures a flock of birds and orders them to attack Ron. In the film, the birds don’t do any damage, but it’s a different story in the novel:
The little flock of birds was speeding like a hail of fat gold bullets towards Ron, who yelped and covered his face with his hands, but the birds attacked, pecking and clawing at every bit of flesh they could reach.
Jealousy can make us do silly things, but did Hermione really need to resort to this level of violence?
