The Hogwarts matron doesn’t get enough credit. Over the years, she nursed countless students back to full health and helped Harry recover from his injuries on numerous occasions.

More often than not, our hero ended up in the Hospital Wing due to a Quidditch injury. And without fail, Poppy Pomfrey always managed to patch him up. She even regrew all the bones in Harry’s arm after the inept Professor Lockhart accidentally removed them all. Not long after, she helped to heal those who had been petrified by the Basilisk with the help of the Herbology teacher – Professor Sprout.

What’s particularly impressive about the Hogwarts matron is her advanced skills in both traditional spell work and potion brewing. As well as being able to mend bones and wounds in a matter of seconds with her wand, she also developed her own potion known as Pomfrey's Pick-Me-Up.
