The Disarming Charm is one of the most effective and commonly used spells within the franchise, often used in duels in hopes of disarming your opponent.

Though typically used simply to disarm, the charm has other uses. Particularly powerful Expelliarmius spells can knock an opponent off their feet - like when Snape briefly duelled Professor Lockhart - and more gifted spellcasters can use it to disarm multiple enemies in one fell swoop.
