Harry Potter: 15 WORST Plot-Holes In Wizarding World Movies

3. Giant Romance

Here's a slightly more... biological concern from the Harry Potter films that definitely required SOME sort of explanation. Even though this was always primarily a kids' series and wouldn't ever have been able to include full-blown sex. Particularly between man and magical creature.

However, it needs to be asked: how the hell did Hagrid's father impregnate a full grown giant? What we've seen of giants in the films is pretty limited to Grawp, since they decided not to include them fully, and he's not exactly the most human or reasonable of figures. Sure, he's a kid, but his primitiveness is because he's a giant, not because he's in any way remedial.

That seems to suggest that a tiny, normal man was somehow able to seduce a terrifying, violent creature and then also have full sex with her. There are many, many questions here relating not only to seduction technique through to opportunity and - not least, at all - the actual mechanics of their sexual activity. Nothing could have fit.

It's not one we'd ever have gotten an answer to, to be fair, but it's still a fairly sizeable issue given that it's at the root of one of the series' most important characters. Hagrid might as well have been the result of the congress between an ant and a particularly angry boulder.
