How he died: Killed in duel. Who killed him: Antonin Dolohov Why it is emotional: Lupin acted as Harry's father figure during the Prisoner of Azkaban, before Sirius was revealed and took his rightful place as Harry's Godfather. The fact that he would become the fourth such figure (fifth if you count Mad Eye) to bite the dust just seemed like overkill. Lupin was kind and dedicated to helping Harry develop his magical abilities in order to prepare him for what was coming.
