How she died: Killed in a duel Who killed her: Bellatrix Lestrange Why it is emotional: Whilst Tonks has a more prominent role in the books than in the films, it was still well known that she had just given birth to her son, Teddy, who was robbed of a relationship with her by her untimely murder. Rather fittingly for the Black family tree, she was also killed by Bellatrix, having committed one of the most heart-breaking scenes to screen, when she reaches out for her husband's hand with battle (and horribly inevitable death) approaching.
