Ginny Weasley was one character from the books that the movies didn't truly capture or properly justify. For much of the story, Ginny felt sidelined and relegated to a much lesser role than she enjoyed in the source material, but during her time in Dumbledore's Army, she shone.

As the youngest Weasley, Ginny could have easily slipped into the background, however her skill as a witch during the training sessions impressed everyone, including her older brothers. She was competent across the board, but even more impressive was the fact that she was the first of the group shown to produce a true Patronus.

Ginny was also one of the six members of Dumbledore's Army to fight in the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, an act of true bravery and skill.

Not only did she fight, she was responsible for essentially bringing the entire hall of prophecies down on itself, with an incredibly powerful Reducto spell. This surprised just about everyone, but in truth, she had already proved herself to be strong with a wand in her hand.
