Harry Potter: Fan-Casting The Inevitable Cursed Child Movie

1. Charlie Cox As Harry Potter

Why He's Right For The Role

Harry is confident, headstrong and loyal, but he's also rather quiet and restrained, rarely losing his temper and often being humble to a fault.

Charlie Cox has shown he can be all those things; whether he's playing Daredevil, putting other people's safety before his own and always keeping his ego in check, or in The Theory Of Everything, as a kind widower providing support to Jane Hawking and her vulnerable family.

He'd need to lose a bit of muscle and drop the comb-over he regularly sports, but he's a proven leading man in possession of the right attributes to successfully play an older Harry.

Chances Of It Happening

Cox would be our dream Harry, but in reality, it's hard to see him accepting a role like this when he's so busy with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Season Three of Daredevil is coming and The Defenders will undoubtedly get more episodes, and then there are possible film appearances to consider.

He's incredibly busy and the sparse number of film roles he's accepted since being cast as Daredevil make it clear he's strapped for time.

In 2022, he took charge of WhoCulture and has grown it into the biggest Doctor Who channel on YouTube, and one of the biggest Doctor Who communities on the web full-stop. He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show. Like many his age, he first got into Doctor Who with the 2005 revival, but has since gone back and fallen in love with the classic years too. If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order, or to give you a random factoid about the making of Gridlock, Danny is the person to ask!
