Harry Potter New TV Show: 25 Castings That Must Happen
18. Peter Mullan As Mad-Eye Moody
Much like most of the casting choices in the Harry Potter films, Brendan Gleeson as Mad-Eye Moody was ridiculously on-point. He did a splendid job at capturing a ferociously badass wizard who is constantly teetering on the brink of madness.
In terms of who should play him next, it's likely that Scottish actor Peter Mullan would absolutely kill it in the role.
He's got the right look and he's well-known for being a ferocious, intimidating actor, so he'd be able to capture Mad-Eye in all his fearsome glory, and he'd make for a great villain in the closing chapters of Goblet of Fire (where the character is being impersonated by Barty Crouch Jr).
He also appeared in the Potter films as Death Eater Corban Yaxley, so he's not averse to stepping into this world!
