Harry Potter: The Biggest Mistake Each Wizarding World Film Has Made

6. Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire: The Maze Scene

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is a truly awesome fantasy blockbuster and arguably the best film in the franchise. The action sequences are spectacular, the story is gripping, it's filled with great comedy and the climactic graveyard scene is probably the best scene in the whole series.

In terms of errors, there aren't too many. The villain's scheme is a bit illogical and of course, Dumbledore's infamous "Did you put your name into the goblet of fire?!?!" line is still cringe-worthy to this day, but the main misstep this mostly excellent movie made is with the third task in the Triwizard Tournament, the maze.

Compared to the awesomeness of the first two tasks and the version from the book, this sequence is pretty dull. In the book the maze was full of creatures which had to be overcome but here, all that happens is the maze keeps changing shape while its branches attack the competitors.

This was a truly bizarre adaptive decision and it does rather break the film's stride, but thankfully the film regains momentum immediately afterwards with the graveyard sequence.
