6. Jamie Clayton KILLS It As Pinhead

Though many fans were disappointed to hear that Doug Bradley wouldn't be reprising the role of Pinhead in this new film, his replacement Jamie Clayton turns out to be an inspired and effective choice.

For starters, she looks creepy as all hell, courtesy of excellent makeup and costume work, ensuring she appears recognisable yet different enough to not simply feel like a pallid imitation of Bradley's take on the character.

Though the design elements do so much of the heavy lifting here, it's impossible to deny the effectiveness of Clayton's performance: her moment-to-moment physicality and especially her deep, seductive-yet-scary voice more than live up to Bradley's original interpretation.

While Bradley will likely remain the definitive Pinhead for most fans, Clayton acquits herself admirably - certainly far more so than the several actors who have stepped uneasily into Bradley's shoes in the more recent low-budget Hellraiser movies.
