Henry Cavill vs Brandon Routh: Who Was The Better Superman?

Which Actor Had The Best Villain Showdown?

Superman When there€™s a villain, there€™s a hero, and that€™s the general consensus for every Superman film we€™ve seen to date. Even the fourth instalment within the Reeve films had a villain €“ a poorly executed one, yes, but Nuclear Man had a nasty habit of clawing himself back to the top with those ghastly silver nails. Did Zod have you on the edge of your seat in Man of Steel, or was it the genius Lex Luthor in Superman Returns? Action in Superman Returns was a little lacking, but where it really shined was in the confrontation between Superman and Lex Luthor. Spacey kicks, punches and eventually stabs a shard of kryptonite into Routh€™s back, leaving him to drown in the ocean. Watching Superman be pushed onto the ground and kicked around like a rag doll from school bullies is painful to watch, but that€™s what makes it powerful. man of steel battle Man of Steel was the unequivocal antithesis to Returns in terms of action. The final showdown with Zod and Superman was gripping from beginning to end. In fact, the moment of Zod€™s demise was so powerful that Cavill€™s screams still echo in the ears of many. For the anguish and the tears, Cavill takes this moment of glory. Winner - Henry Cavill With three points to one, Henry Cavill brings just the right amount of warmth, humour and ferocity to the character and, ultimately, is the better Superman.
