5. Azog

With Azog set up to take Bolg's role from the book and the obvious trilogy-wide conflict between he and Thorin in place, it's pretty clear that he's not going to make it out of the Battle of the Five Armies alive, even if he succeeds in taking Thorin down with him. Azog's proven himself a very dangerous, capable threat and his demise will undoubtedly be satisfying for many. Due to Beorn's role in avenging Thorin in the book, as well as his own personal hatred of Azog for killing off his kind for sport, we anticipate Azog's death to play out like his son's, having a hand in mortally wounding Thorin before being caught off guard and utterly destroyed by the terrifying skin-changer.
