5. The (Mostly) Anonymous Voice Acting
Much like the two previous Hotel Transylvania films, the voice acting for the most part doesn't even bother to touch the sides, to the extent you might not even recognise most of the famous names lending their talents to the film, nor really care all that much.
Sure, Adam Sandler's signature vocal tenor is unmistakable, but aside from Steve Buscemi's nasal-voiced werewolf Wayne, almost the entire supporting cast could basically be made up of no-name, jobbing voice actors for all it matters.
It's a shame that Kathryn Hahn in particular doesn't get a chance to make much of a dent as Ericka Van Helsing, though that's mostly down to the so-so script and some less-than-stellar vocal direction.
Though the character designs can be a lot of fun, the actual personalities of the monsters and humans alike sadly give their talented performers little to work with.
