How Disney Should Make Indiana Jones 5

8. Set It In The 1960s

The divisive Kingdom of the Crystal Skull took place in 1957, so given that Indiana Jones 5 is due to film around 10 years after its predecessor, a mid-to-late '60s setting makes sense for the sequel.

Not only is this the logical time period to select, it also presents creative opportunities - and we're not talking about the chance to put Indy in a pair of flares here.

Indiana Jones 5 should be packed with '60s zeitgeist. It was an eventful decade and a time of great transition, when we consider what took place.

There was the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Vietnam War, the Civil Rights Movement, the Moon Landing and the Kennedy Assassination, not to mention some of the musical trends which rose to prominence around then.

Not only would referencing these events give the movie a colourful backdrop and memorable soundtrack, the story could tie in with them in many imaginative ways.
