How Disney Should Make Indiana Jones 5
4. Keep The Stunts Realistic
Suspension of disbelief would fly out of the window if Indy 5 saw the protagonist leaping onto moving tanks and taking out hordes of bad guys singlehandedly.
As we've already mentioned, Harrison Ford will be into his late-70s by the time the film comes out, so it's unfair to expect daredevil stunt work from him, considering it wasn't so long ago that he broke his leg on the set of another movie.
It's also important that Indy 5 doesn't pretend the whip-wielding hero is anything other than an adventurer approaching the end of his career.
After living a life of danger, it rings true that Doctor Jones has sustained all kinds of injuries which limit his capabilities and make the character more fallible than before. This could be weaved into the story in a creative, relatable way.
Of course, nobody wants to see Indy on the sidelines, so give us some well choreographed one-on-one fight scenes, vehicular action and epic whip and gunplay, but let's keep it all within the realms of reality, yeah?
