How Marvel Should Do A MCU Movies & Netflix Crossover

As for who this crossover should focus on, the answer seems almost obvious: Daredevil.

The character, created by Stan Lee and Bill Everett in 1964, launched Netflix's wave of MCU programming in 2015 and has remained a consistent source of quality ever since. Factor in his status as the most famous of all the Netflix characters, and it makes perfect sense for him to feature in the first MCU TV/Film crossover.

There's more though; over the years, the Man Without Fear has fostered a synonymy with several important Marvel institutions, including S.H.I.E.L.D., but he's also featured in a particularly important relationship too - with Black Widow. The pair starred together frequently in the late seventies and early eighties in the main Daredevil comic, and it's with that in mind that Charlie Cox has previously expressed an interest in seeing the two heroes collaborate on the big screen.

With Scarlet Johansson's character set to take on a bigger role in Phase 4, it makes sense to introduce Daredevil and take inspiration from both Last Rites - a storyline that saw Murdock manipulate S.H.I.E.L.D. to take down Wilson Fisk - and those earlier stories featuring the pair. Style it along the same lines as The Winter Soldier and Civil War, whilst incorporating the tone of the Daredevil TV show, and Marvel would have a match made in heaven.
