The Venice Film Festival is quickly creeping up, at which various films including Brad Pitt's space thriller Ad Astra, Stephen Sodenbergh’s The Laundromat and various other international pieces will finally appear. The most mainstream and arguably most anticipated however, is Joker.
Directed by Todd Phillips, Joker will star Joaquin Phoenix in the iconic role in what looks to be one of 2019’s best films.
One of the greatest comic and film villains of all time, the Joker has an on screen presence spanning over 50 years, seeing various actors portray the "Clown Prince of Crime". With the new film coming out soon, perhaps it is time people brush up on their knowledge on the famous arch-nemesis of Batman.
