Hugh Grant: 5 Awesome Performances And 5 That Sucked

1. Paul Morgan - Did You Hear About The Morgans?

The ultimate "Hugh Grant phoning it in" performance comes from the sub-par comes Did You Here About The Morgans? This is the kind of bland, forgettable comedy that nobody should ever have been a part of. Literally, Hugh Grant turns up on set and reads his lines, leaving us with absolutely nothing to get our teeth into. As Paul Morgan, one half of a failing couple who witness a murder and go on the run, he's flimsy as flimsy can be, then. Not to mention the fact that Grant has zero chemistry with his on-screen wife, Sarah Jessica Parker. Throughout the entire movie, the pair struggle to convey the fact that they were ever once in love, and it's consistently awkward to watch. One seriously gets the impression that, in order to have signed onto this project, Grant checked his bank account one day and decided that he needed a couple of million as quickly as possible.
