Inarritu's World Cup advert for Nike is funny & delightful

More exciting than the first half of the Lost show finale dubbed 'the television event of the decade' by most was this Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu directed World Cup advert for Nike which screened during the expensive ad breaks. I'm not sure if it was the worldwide debut of the ad (makes sense to debut it during Lost's ending I suppose) but I hadn't seen it before, and it blew me away. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idLG6jh23yE As a patriotic Englishman of course the bits I love the most involve the Wayne Rooney subplot vs. the French (which ends on a note which I'm surprised the French footballers would be happy to go along with) though the Cristano Ronaldo and Homer Simpson meeting gets a chuckle. Good job, Inarritu. A very mainstream ad that keeps your auteur status intact and doesn't feel like a sell-out move. Also, hilarious that Ronaldinho gets extended trailer time but didn't make the Brazil 23-man cut for the tournament.
