Indiana Jones 5: 10 Actors Who Could Replace Shia LeBeouf
2. Introduce Kevin Spacey As An Old Ally, Turned Enemy
I've talked a lot about younger, fresh blood in the franchise, which can work very well if done right and a little irritating if done wrong (AKA Shia LaBeouf). But that's not to say we don't need older actors with the gravitas to take on Harrison Ford at his level. Take Kevin Spacey for example. He's always put in great performances but in House Of Cards we've seen a whole new side to him; the ruthless sociopath with the charming smile, Frank Underwood. Riding high on the success of House Of Cards, Kevin Spacey could be an interesting addition to Indy's world; an old friend and ally, perhaps from the war, reunited years later. What starts off as a reunion with a charming, intelligent ally with information vital to Indy's quest, could turn darker as Spacey's character is revealed as the villain, using Indy to his own nefarious ends. Think Seven and The Usual Suspects; Spacey is very capable of pulling the rug under audience's minds and that would make his character a great ally turned enemy for Indiana Jones.
