Indiana Jones 5: 10 Actors Who Could Replace Shia LeBeouf

6. Use John Noble As A Russian Scientist

Love it or hate it, one of the great developments introduced in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was the theme of Cold War Russians as an ongoing global antagonist to replace the Nazi element from the original trilogy. It fit very well with the sci-fi B Movie theme and as mentioned in the introduction, Cate Blanchett's Irina Spalko was a wonderfully evil follow up to over-the-top villains like Arnold Toht from Raiders Of The Lost Ark. Why not follow that theme and employ the always wonderful (and tragically non-Emmy winner) John Noble as a Russian scientist, hoping to use the power of ancient relics just like the Nazi's of old? Noble can play villains and heroes alike; in Fringe both versions of Walter Bishop showed that he could cover both and overlay it with a dash of craziness that made him a fascinating character to watch. Though for outright dangerous you need look no further then his new character on Sleepy Hollow. Whether he's a 'grey area' character forced to work with Indy on the next villain after Spalko, his introduction into Indiana Jones' world would be mesmerising!
