7. David Koepp Will Provide The Screenplay
David Koepp is a long-time Spielbergian collaborator, having worked with the director on Jurassic Park and War of the Worlds, among other projects.
Those other projects happen to include The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which should probably have been a red flag for Disney, but they've enlisted his services for the fifth adventure regardless.
Speaking to Collider last October, Koepp offered a status update on his Indy 5 screenplay . Spoiler alert! He didn't give much away...
“It feels like it has a lot of momentum behind it. We have ‘top men’ working on it as we speak. No, it’s going really well. I really like our idea; I think it’s clean and simple and makes a lot of sense, and I feel like the writing is going really well.”
