Indiana Jones & The Dial Of Destiny Review: 6 Ups & 4 Downs

5. Harrison Ford Gives Indy A Solid Swan Song

Even when the film is at its absolute worst, it's tough to argue with Harrison Ford's commitment to the title role.

Even with his advancing age and how easy it would've been for him to simply go through the motions for one final paycheck, Ford clearly still loves this character and can't ever be accused of phoning his performance in.

While many have understandably questioned the "necessity" of a fifth film featuring an elderly Indiana Jones, Ford retains the character's surly moxie and, considering his age, fares decently enough during the action sequences too.

Again, not every aspect of Indy's characterisation is likely to please all fans here, but it's obvious that Ford cares deeply about doing justice to the character in his final time donning the hat and whip.
