Iron Man 2 was a movie packed full of moments which were there solely to set up The Avengers but the very busy sequel still excelled in a lot of other ways. The exploration of Tony Stark's relationship with his father Howard was an undeniable highlight, though, and this deleted scene confirms that the S.H.I.E.L.D. founder's message from the past could have been even more touching.

Talking to his son from beyond the grave, Howard is shown holding the young Tony in his arms as he explains that his life's work was all for him. He goes on to say that he's always known Tony would go on to do something bigger with his life than he ever did because he sees the future in the youngster.

Finally, Howard looks directly at the camera to tell Tony that he is, and always will be, "my greatest creation." In many respects, this isn't massively different to what ended up on screen as the tone of the message from Howard is still very much the same but the way its delivered is quite a bit more emotional and definitely leaves a lasting impact.
