9. What Happened To The Stolen Pym Particles?
Remember that guy Hank Pym punches in Ant-Man's flashback? He was pretty forgettable, but we later learned that the S.H.I.E.L.D. bigwig was also part of HYDRA (which is why he was shown as a potential buyer for Darren Cross' Yellowjacket technology).
However, when Scott Lang and his crew arrive to save the day, Donovan makes his escape...with a vial of Pym Particles! While an alternate ending on the Blu-ray showed Ant-Man capturing the villain, that didn't make it into the movie itself, so it doesn't count. As a result, he's now out there somewhere with a formula capable of creating a new Ant-Man...or, as Avengers: Endgame showed us, time-travel!
While his defeat might have been shot, it's not canon, and we're now left desperate to know what Hank's old rival ended up using his ill-gotten gains for.
The only place this could ever really be addressed is the Ant-Man and The Wasp sequel currently in the works from director Peyton Reed, but will there be time seeing as it was overlooked back in 2018?
