5. Black Widow Meets Professor Hulk - Avengers: Infinity War
The original plan was for Bruce Banner to become Smart Hulk in Avengers: Infinity War. As the hero piloted the Hulkbuster armour, he would have demanded that the Green Goliath show his face, telling him, "I don't hate you! You're more of an Avenger than I am. I love you!" They continue arguing back and forth before agreeing to "live and let live."
With that, they would have merged and broken their way out of Iron Man's armour to finish off Corvus Glaive and become 'Smart Hulk' instead.
Marvel Studios ultimately chose to save that reveal for Avengers: Endgame but this sequence would have ended with a shocked Black Widow realizing that the Jade Giant now had Bruce's intelligence: "Hello, Nat."
This would have packed a far more powerful punch than their comedic exchange in the pancake house, that's for sure.
