8. Matt Damon Is?
Not many directors have the pulling power to attract the likes of Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway and Michael Caine to join their cast, but fewer still are able to enlist Matt Damon for a supporting role that appears to have been all but forgotten in the build-up to Interstellars release. Damon is currently listed as uncredited on IMDB and has been careful to not let any secrets slip, but one intriguing aspect of his involvement is that it has been well documented that his three weeks of filming took place in Iceland. Given that it is also common knowledge that the Endurance crew is comprised of just four people. i.e. the characters played by McConaughey, Hathaway, Wes Bentley and David Gyasi, what are we to make of Matt Damons role? All will become clear soon enough, but these circumstances indicate that Damons mysterious role might end up being a crucial plot point in Interstellar and proof that we or they, at least are not alone.
