Interstellar Teaser Trailer - 3 Things We Learned

2. Beautiful Cinematography

Cinematog Christopher Nolan is known for frequently collaborating with those he's worked with in the past. We've already discussed Hans Zimmer, and many are aware of how much he enjoys working with Michael Caine, Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Marion Cotillard, and Tom Hardy. Nolan also enjoys working with cinematographer Wally Pfister, who won an Academy Award for his work on Inception. However, Nolan was forced to utilize the work of another cinematographer when Pfister began working on his directorial debut, Transcendence, which also arrives next year. Instead, Nolan turned to Hoyte Van Hoytema, whose filmography includes Let the Right One In, The Fighter, and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. Anyone worried that Interstellar would suffer from the loss of Pfister may rest easy, at least from the few glimpses of footage seen in this teaser trailer. Interstellar looks gorgeous, and manages to fit right in with the rest of Nolan's filmography. And, considering that much of the film was shot in IMAX, fans can expect the same mind blowing spectacle this time around, especially with the science fiction-heavy storyline.
