1. Matthew McConaughey Continues Serious Streak
"We've always defined ourselves by the ability to overcome the impossible." Matthew McConaughey has had an interesting career. For a while, many wrote him off as nothing more than a one-note movie star, appearing in handfuls of romantic comedies that left a sour taste in the mouths of audiences. Lately however, he seems to be reinventing himself, and has chosen some pretty interesting projects in the last two years including The Lincoln Lawyer, Bernie, Mud, Magic Mike, The Dallas Buyers Club, The Wolf of Wall Street, and now Interstellar. The actor has proven that we may have misjudged him in the past, and is not only choosing interesting projects, but is delivering great performances in them as well. His narration runs through the entire teaser and gives us a brief glimpse at what the motivations of the characters may be while telling us that this story will tell humanity's next great adventure into the final frontier. Nolan is known for his solid casting decisions, choosing to surround himself with Oscar winning talent and up-and coming stars. Fans were first a bit puzzled when McConaughey was cast as the lead in this next project, but if he can deliver the same tour de force performances we've seen from him in the last couple years, Nolan may have once again struck gold.
