12. A Subtle Gag About Kim's Real-Life Ankle Injury

While Skylark and Kim are busy becoming fast friends, there's one hilarious but rather subtle gag that clearly must have been added late in the post-production process. When the pair are playing basketball, Kim misses a shot and trips, declaring, "Oh, my ankles!" While this might initially seem throwaway and can be easily missed, it's almost certainly a reference to the fact that, after seemingly disappearing for most of October, the dictator was finally revealed to be recovering from surgery due to fractured ankles, which much of the Western press half-facetiously commented was due to his ballooning weight. Either way, it's a smart little gag that can only have been added to the film relatively recently given the time frame. Hopefully Randall Park had already been called back to re-dub dialogue and wasn't asked to come in specifically for a line most viewers will probably miss anyway.
