Into The Spider-Verse 2: 10 Alternate Spider-Men That Must Appear
8. Spider-Punk
Spider-Punk is certainly an interesting take on the character.
In this reality, Spidey is Hobie Brown (who, in the main Earth-616 continuity is the Prowler), and isn't exactly your traditional superhero. The character is the leader of 'Spider Army' a group of free spirits opposed to the regime of President Osborn, you know, in traditional, punk, anti-establishmentarian fashion.
As well as being the leader of a pretty neat cause, Brown also nails one of the most important aspects of what makes an alternate version of any character likeable: having a cool suit. The combination of denim and spandex may not be the most common, but it most definitely works here, the addition of the mohawk-esque spikes along his head also helping to sell the look.
Though, looks don't get you everywhere, but, with the great background and personality that the character has, he is more than worthy of inclusion in a future Spider-Verse film.
