4. Attack, Attack
By far the most impressive part of the trailer is the sequence showing what is implied to be Mandarin's attack on Stark's home, that results in catastrophic damage, while both Stark and Potts are inside, and the building slipping into the sea taking Iron Man down with it. It might not be that simple, since a later shot in the same trailer shows Tony Stark on the floor, with someone in an Iron Man suit kneeling above him - possibly the same which can be seen "snatching" Pepper out of bed - and the background looks very much like the same partially destroyed building. Chances are that suited character is Firepower, but the lack of explanation gives his appearances a wonderfully supernatural feel, with the obviously intended metaphorical implication that Tony Stark is fighting the Iron Man identity. There is every possibility that the Iron Man seen falling into the sea isn't Stark at all - though the implication of having a shot of the fall from a first person perspective does seemed weighed against that, given that this is his movie. But we shall see - there seems to be an awful lot of teasing going on, which of course is the whole point of these things - and an awful lot of room for interpretation.
