Unless Tony Stark dies (which seems unlikely) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe at any point, surely he will remain in contact with the likes of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers - even after he steps down from armour-donning heroics. The Marvel One-Shot "The Consultant" saw Tony Stark as the titular character, sent by Phil Coulson to sabotage a meeting that would have seen Emil Blonsky - the Abomination - being recruited in to the Avengers Initiative. Could this have been a bit of foreshadowing on Marvel's part? Keeping Downey Jr. on in this capacity would mean that, while he would no longer have a starring role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise, his name would still be attached to it - something that would keep his fans interested - and he could be scheduled for brief cameos in post-credit scenes, television shows and One-Shots, which would allow him to move on to the other projects while not ruling out a comeback in the future. The next Iron Man movie could end with Stark making his exit from the Marvel Cinematic Universe's big-budget movies, but with him saying that he would always be available to provide consultancy to S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers - as well as providing tech to S.H.I.E.L.D. etc - but would no longer be around to assist as Iron Man. So there you have it - ten things we might see in the next Iron Man movie. Do you agree? What else might we see, should another Iron Man movie be made? Which villain, for example, might appear (that would just be speculating right now, of course)? Let us know in the comments area below.
