At the end of the next Iron Man movie, it should be expected that - if he hasn't done already following the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron - Tony Stark will step down from full time heroics. Iron Man 3 ended with Stark destroying his armours as a gesture of devotion to his relationship to Pepper Potts, throwing his now obsolete arc reactor in to the sea by his mansion and declaring that he will always be Iron Man with or without his armours. While that was more than just a slight hint of his retirement, we now know that Ultron will force him back in to action - but that could be one of the last times he does so. Having helped to defeat Ultron and defeating whatever big bad appears in a potential fourth Iron Man instalment (Fin Fang Foom, anyone?), there is no doubt that Stark will be bowing out with a bang. However, at 49 years old (50 come the time of Age of Ultron's release and only getting older from thereon in), Robert Downey Jr. can't go on as a superhero forever and a fourth and final Iron Man movie would be a fitting farewell to the ever-popular character.
