I've just stumbled across a new trailer for the Robert Redford directed Lions for Lambs and first off, it ain't a bad trailer. The movie looks to deal with some real pressing matters but there's two things that bother me so far about the movie. The first being although it's a relevant topic and everything, the movie kinda looks boring. The second being that it doesn't look like Tom Cruise is going to leave that damn office, which I can see what there doing (and they mention it in the trailer) that they want a powerful guy who can easily make decisions about people's lives whilst he is comfy in his office (or is it a frustrated prison, hope they delve into that too) but it's going to be a little annoying for the viewer if we keep coming back there for another bout of heavy dialogue and Oscar hopeful acting. I dunno. I think it will be a relevant picture but maybe one that isn't quite as exciting as The Last King of Scotland or Blood Diamond last year.
