James Bond: 10 Biggest Fashion Disasters

4. The Baby Grow (Goldfinger)

In his prime, Sean Connery was the sexiest man alive, prowling through the first four Bond films like a God. He looked so sharp in his suits, ironic as Connery had to be taught how to wear them by director Terence Fisher, even being forced to sleep in them. By Goldfinger, Connery - and Bond - were a phenomenon, Bondmania having gripped the world. With its slick action, gadget-filled Aston Martin DB5 and Pussy Galore, Goldfinger became the template for all future Bonds and, arguably, remains the best to this day. Though the most memorable outfit is the gold paint worn by Shirley Eaton, James sports a quite unbelievable little terry towelling number in the early part of the film. Perhaps this was the epitome of poolside leisure wear in 1964 but it bears an uncomfortable resemblance to a baby grow. What is perhaps even more astounding is that Connery very nearly pulls it off: his hairy chest, ripped physique and suave nonchalance daring anyone to take the mick out of his outfit. Daniel Craig will never be able to steal Connery's crown until he's tried it out himself.
