James Bond: 10 Potential Spin-Offs And How They Would Work

2. Felix Leiter Goes Solo

Agents Of Spectre
Columbia Pictures/MGM

In Bond canon, Felix Leiter is an operative for the CIA who occasionally crosses 007's path. Despite being a side character, he's held in high regard by fans of the series, probably due to the fact that he's basically Bond's only friend.

A spin-off about Felix, then, could like “Jane Bond” focus on America, but rather than see him as an international spy it'd be great to see Felix work on anticipating and foiling potential terrorist threats in the States. The film could benefit from more of a mystery narrative than straight thriller, as Felix desperately attempts to figure out the nature of a particular threat before it's too late.

He's played by Jeffrey Wright in the Daniel Craig era of films, and his performance is one of the character’s most charming and likeable iterations, so why not give him another chance to return? In the brief amount of time Wright's on-screen he makes a fantastic impression.
