James Bond Theme Tunes: From Best To Worst

18. You Only Live Twice

Artist: Nancy SinatraFilm: You Only Live Twice http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgFtQPgHyek Things are starting to get a bit better, but this is still a bit characterless. Yes, it€™s pretty, but it doesn€™t move you or excite you, and it€™s a little bit like that song that goes €œloooooving you€€ and ends with that screaming €œooooo€ (I€™m not big on song names€). What I€™m saying is, I like a certain type of Bond song- strong, whether it€™s emotional or powerful. This is a little bit simpering.

17. From Russia With Love

Artist: Matt MunroFilm: From Russia With Love http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0glPrqeIt8 This has both the strengths and weaknesses of the previous entry. It€™s a lovely tune, but doesn€™t feel Bondian. It€™s too light to be sweeping and romantic, but it€™s a damn sight better than some of the lower entries on the list. It paints a lovely picture and it was the very first tune (granted, it got very quickly eclipsed by its successor, but still€). It€™s not the kind of theme tune you see people lampooning, imitating or singing to in the car when they think no one€™s looking.
