Jigsaw: Every Trap Ranked From Worst To Best
3. Spiral Trap
Mitch ends up caught in the Spiral trap, a mechanical shredding device which slowly lowers him towards the whirring blades, unless he can find a way to reach the brake lever at the bottom. This is punishment for him selling a faulty motorcycle to Jigsaw's nephew, which resulted in his death.
Though Anna manages to jam the motorcycle at the top of the trap, which is powering the spiral, and Mitch is able to get to the lever, the motorcycle eventually corrects the jam and begins whirring again, slicing Mitch into a bloody mess as the trap comes to an end.
Though the film definitely could've done a better job of explaining this one, it's one of the film's more visually interesting traps and actually has some personal meaning behind it for Jigsaw, which is nice. The gore is also pretty damn unpleasant, brief though it is.
