Jigsaw Review: 3 Ups & 7 Downs
Ups...
3. It's The Best-Looking Saw Movie
Though the film falls short of its predecessors in most departments, make no mistake that Jigsaw is easily the best-looking of all the Saw movies.
For starters, the cinematography and lighting are decidedly more cinematic, evoking less the feel of a low-budget TV show and more resembling an actual, well, movie.
Furthermore, the editing is less chaotic and there are less cheesy effects, with the Spierig Brothers' more restrained direction ultimately classing things up somewhat, even if the script totally lets them down.
