Jigsaw Review: 3 Ups & 7 Downs

1. It's The Worst Film In The Series

While it's not terribly surprising to hear that the eighth movie in a horror franchise is the worst (just look at Friday the 13th and Halloween), it's at least a little disappointing that Jigsaw, planned as a reinvention of the series, lands at the bottom of the pile.

Though Saw V was a boring dumpster fire and Saw 3D saw the series at its absolute silliest, Jigsaw's more mild tone and penchant for rehashing the series' greatest hits makes it the absolute rock-bottom the franchise has hit to date.

Yes, it's not the worst-of-show in every aspect of its creation, but in terms of the overall product, it is the dullest and least-watchable of the lot.

Yet as much as the movie basically sucks, it didn't quite get everything wrong...
