Jim Carrey goes Sober

Jim Carrey is to star and produce the comedy flick Sober Buddies for Universal Pictures. This is the fourth possible film that could be next on Jim Carrey's schedule after he has lent his voice to the animated movie Horton Here's a Who, but first here's the info on Sober Buddies...

Andrew Kurtzman is writing the script, about a hard-partying software exec assigned a court-appointed Sober Buddy to keep him under control during a critical business trip to Las Vegas. A perfect plan falls apart when the Sober Buddy (Carrey) falls off the wagon.

So the four movies that Carrey has to choose from are (unless he signs up for more)... A) Sober Buddies which he is starring and producing B) The title role in Ripley's Believe It Or Not which no longer has a director after Tim Burton pulled out. C) The gay prison escape comedy I Love You Philip Morris from the writers of Bad Santa. D) The comedy/drama Me Time where he plays a writer scribing a book about his great grand-mother, when his wife becomes pregnant and bed ridden. The Carrey project that interests me the most is definitely the gay prison comedy movie which remember was described as Catch Me If You Can meets Brokeback Mountain. source - variety
