Joaquin Phoenix and Gwyneth Paltrow are Two Lovers

Phoenix to re-team with director James Gray for the third time in seven years, the most recent being We Own the Night which opens next month.

Joaquin Phoenix will re-team with director James Gray for the third time in ten years for Two Lovers, a film about a Brooklyn guy who is torn between the women his parents want him to marry and the girl who lives next door who he is passionately in love with. Surely there's no contest right, it's the girl next door he wants to be going for? Gwyneth Paltrow is in negotiations for the flick which is being financed by 2929 Productions and will begin production in November says Variety. Wondering which movies Phoenix and Gray had worked together on in the past? Well I shall tell you... The first movie was the crime/thriller The Yards back in the year 2000 which co-starred Mark Wahlberg, Charlize Theron and James Caan but it's there second team-up you are likely to recognize the most. That being We Own the Night which opens in the U.S. next month and is getting some tremendous Awards buzz. That movie also see's Mark Wahlberg star. Could Wahlberg like Phoenix make it a hat trick for Two Lovers? Another question, with Paltrow being playing the neighbour he is in love with or the women that his parents want him to marry?
